An Apology
Afternoon,
I’ve had a few emails, and tweets recently asking when then next issue of the F1Weekender will be issued.
Issue 3 was due to be released on the Monday following the Bahrain Grand Prix. Unfortunately, life – in what I like to call the ‘real world’ has been manic in recent weeks. Helped in no small way by the fact that my job has been about as busy as it’s every been and I’ve spent 7 days out of the last 10 on the road. This means I’ve been up at 05:00 most mornings, and back home again at 19:00 if I’ve been lucky – 20:00 if I’ve not.
This isn’t a ‘woe-is-me’ style post, but I’ve had to take the decision to knock issue 3 on the head for the time being. I need to do this as with another race coming up this weekend, all hands need to be on the pumps to get issue 4 written, edited and published for Sunday / Monday.
It’s a hard decision, and I do feel bad. Mainly as Joe from F1 Heaven very kindly wrote a preview for the Australian race for me, and quite clearly went to a considerable amount of effort to do so. I don’t like people wasting my time, so when I do something that I perceive to be the same to other people I genuinely feel annoyed with myself. So, Joe – this is a very public apology from me!
What I will do, if I get the chance this weekend is roll up what’s already been written for the still-born issue 3 into a .pdf and add it to the magazine archives so it does see the light of day in some capacity!
Other than that, keep your eyes peeled for issue 4.
Thanks for reading.
Adie
